Culpeper AirFest a Free
Event
This FREE event has something for the entire
family. Tour the County Airport, talk with pilots about their
planes and enjoy free airplane rides for ages 8-17 provided by
the
Young Eagles Program
Your Young
Eagle will receive a certificate of their participation in the Young
Eagles Program signed by their pilot
For many, this could be their
first flight, so bring your
camera for a unique photo opportunity

Display The highlight of this year's AirFest is the debut of the
only, privately owned "Harrier" in the world flown by Art Nalls, and by the way,
he'll be flying his L-39
Jet

You'll
see Restored Antiques, Classics, Military Trainers,
Fighters, Helicopters, Jets, and Model
Airplanes
The
Bealeton Flying Circus along with their spectacular wing-walking
event
The FARM Club and their unique radio
controlled model airplanes
Dr. Smoke and his
Marchetti that emits red, white and blue smoke
Sean Carroll
with his Yak-9
Kevin Russo and his powerful T6 and others
performing in the afternoon

Magnificently Restored Military Aircraft of the
CAF's Immaculantly Kept Museum

Come early and see the arriving aircraft and feel the
excitement build throughout the day

to bring your still and video cameras to
capture this years event (Remember - Charge the
Batteries)
Invite lots of friends and family so you can
enjoy the show together

from various vendors Goodies such as hamburgers, hot dogs,
barbecue and pizza will be available for the lunch crowd
The Culpeper County Parks & Recreation Department
will have a number of neat demonstrations and arts & crafts
just
for the smaller aviators along with face painting

Volunteers
Speaking of the Air Fest 2008, We Need
Volunteers!!!!! Some areas where assistance is needed are parking
cars, signing up kids for the Young Eagle Flights, refuse pick-up,
set-up and take-down (tables/chairs, crowd control barriers, etc.)
and
other such jobs.
We will provide you with an
official AirFest 2008 shirt,
lunch on the day of the event, and the experience of a
lifetime.
